Video: Juliette Commagere – “Berceuse”
Before you watch Juliette Commagere’s video for her new single “Berceuse,” a word of caution: it’s incredibly addictive. This LA woman is apparently the Joanna Newsome of keytars -- which would make her about five thousand times better than Joanna Newsome.* I hadn’t previously experienced her particular brand of aural magick before watching this, but I’ll definitely track down a copy of her CD (Queens Die Proudly) now, and subsequently listen to it at least five hundred times in a row while playing Scrabble in my opium den. Anyway, this is a great track, and the video is pretty nifty too -- there’s some hardcore infrared surf-action going on here, and it looks like they’re surfing on the moon. The moon! Check it out:
