Video: A Day To Remember: “I’m Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?”
Third World Timmy sends me a lot of links to music videos. Every day at 5pm, when the working is done, I dump my inbox, clap my hands together, and feel a blissful relief that another day of clicking through to amateur Nu-Metal bands covering Stripped-era Christina Aguilera songs is done. But, once in a great while, there’s a shining nugget of visual/musical perfection that makes all the drudgery finally, undeniably worth it. This is one of those nuggets. I previously knew A Day To Remember only from their excellent cover of Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone;” after watching their new video for “I’m Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?,” I want to be best friends with them. I want to sit on a stoop with them, drinking forties and making “Yo Mama” jokes. I like this video so much I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant. Kickball? Check. Hot chicks? Check. Impressively bearded hardcore band engaging in behavior so goofy it would embarrass No Strings Attached-era ‘N Sync? Super-check. This video is amazing. You’re gonna love it.
