AFI Debuts “Beautiful Thieves” Video

I have a confession, and it may not exactly startle you: AFI, those long-runnings lords of the semi-dark arts, make exactly the kind of decadent, foofy cheese that I absolutely love to spread on my brain-crackers. I find them much more interesting as a bunch of trussed-up party boys melting teenage hearts than as Misfits-indebted hardcore punkers, so their latest album (last year’s amazing Crash Love) has been on pretty much constant rotation in my absinthe room ever since its release. You probably already know where you stand with these guys, but their flashy new video for “Beautiful Thieves” is definitely worth a look: it’s well-directed, features lots of attractive people in fancy clothes, and, well – Davey Havok is the kind of dude that, if he asked me to leave my girlfriend and run away with him to be fabulous and eat tofu, I probably would.
